Knowing the exact WordPress version of a site makes it much easier for attackers to look up known security vulnerabilities and attempt to exploit them. By default, WordPress automatically adds the version number to RSS feeds (and some other parts of your site), which can unintentionally reveal this information.

With RSS Chimp Pro, you can hide the WordPress version number from all feeds and make your site a bit more secure. To do this, open the backend of your WordPress site and go to the RSS Chimp Pro settings page. In the General tab, look for the section Other options. There you’ll find an option to hide the WordPress version number. Simply tick the checkbox and save the settings page.
