There are various minor and mayor reasons for adding featured images with the <media:content> tag to your WordPress RSS feed. This is how you get started with RSS Chimp free.
Step 1: Download RSS Chimp Free
Step 2: Register your plugin
After installing and activating the plugin you are asked if you want to register RSS Chimp Free. You have two options:
Click “Allow & Continue” to activate your free licence with three image sizes unlocked. With the free licence you also sign up for our newsletter and allow us to collect some non-sensitive diagnostic data.
If you click “Skip” you don’t allow us to inform you about new features and collect data. This way you are also can use the plugin. This way you can’t select between different images sizes, but the default WordPress thumbnail size is added to your RSS feed.
Step 3: Check your RSS feed
RSS Chimp pro automatically inserts the featured image of a post too your RSS feed. Check your feed, mostly it is acessible with http://example.com/feed on WordPress sites. After the activation process you should find something similiar in the <item> tag of the correspondending post.

The featured image is missing? Go to Settings > Permalinks in the backend and just click “Save Changes”. If the featured is still missing please check your caching plugins and rebuild the cache.
